LACE: LEADERSHIP IN ARTS & CULTURAL EDUCATION

What does it mean to be a leader in arts education? LACE is a new program crafted by Creative Generation to cultivate creative leadership in the cultural and education sectors. The aim of this program is to prepare individuals who are ready to reimagine the structures of leaders, evolve cultural and education communities, and develop sustainable systems which cultivate the creative capabilities of young people.

LITTLE KIDS ROCK

Little Kids Rock transforms lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in our schools. Our network of thousands of K-12 teachers across 48 states leads a national movement that brings innovative and inclusive music education to students.

MORE THAN 500,000 KIDS CURRENTLY PARTICIPATE IN LITTLE KIDS ROCK PROGRAMS NATIONWIDE.

Using genres including rock, pop, Latin, and rap, our program empowers teachers to build music programs as diverse as the kids they serve. Our students see themselves reflected in their classes, which strengthens their connection to their school, their peers, and their community. Little Kids Rock also donates necessary instruments, and curriculum, meeting a key need of many school music programs.

FLORIDA TEACHER OF THE YEAR: DR. DRE GRAHAM

“Dr. Dre,” as he is affectionately known, was a finalist for Hillsborough Teacher of the Year, twice. In 2019, when he won, he dazzled the audience by singing the opening lines of a spiritual hymn.

"Education is human right. As the most sentient beings on the planet, we should be afforded an opportunity to grow into the best version of ourselves, and it's our jobs as educators to make that happen and to facilitate that."

Dr. Graham holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Music Education (University of Florida), a Master’s in Educational Leadership (Concordia University) and a PhD in Music Education (University of South Florida).
