Julie Hebert was appointed Executive Director of the Florida Alliance for Arts Education in July 2014. She came to the position with fifteen years of experience as an arts educator in the elementary music classroom, earning National Board Certification in 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from The University of Central Florida and a Masters in Educational Leadership from The University of South Florida.  Julie’s professional mission is to ensure a well-rounded education for all students, one that nourishes the mind, body, and soul while creating well-rounded individuals who are prepared to thrive in an arts-minded global economy. To this end, she has been a passionate advocate for music and fine arts education. She is Past President of the Florida Elementary Music Educators Association, has presented arts education sessions at local, state, and national conferences, and authored a collaborative arts integration lesson for fourth grade students while attending the National Endowment for the Humanities Mozart’s Worlds Summer Institute in Vienna, Austria.
